A very up-to-date with various resourced for the tourist or for anyone new in Japan. For the just-about-to traveller, the page goes through everything from: "How to get a plane ticket" and "Should I bring my own TV/VCR?" to visa regulations, and customs. When you are in Japan you might want to know about bakning, phoning home or renting apartments. And when the information is not complete, there are always links to the real McCoys.
Intended at Americans but can be enjoyed by anyone!

One of the better online news sites about Japan. Even has discussions for each topic that you can enter, but be aware that many of the super-gaijings that write here has some pretty conservative and pre-conceived ideas about Japan which they are not afraid to express!

Travel Expert
With this serivce you can find out how to get from one station in Japan to another. As far as I can see it covers all of Japan. Just input two station names and you get the bus, train, subway, plane travel plan printed out. Complete with pricing, names of lines to take and approximate duration, this is one site you must familiarise yourself with before coming here! Entirely in English and very easy to use.
