Clothes and shoe stores in Tokyo for big people!
Big clothes
Note that most of these stores are aimed at BIG people, that is, big in the waist, not necessarily the height. If you are tall and slim, like me, you might still have difficulties finding e.g. pants that suit you. I have had success in finding suits (tailor made), normal wind breakers and jackets, sweatshirts and short-sleeved shirts that fit me very nicely. For T-shirts, I recommend regular stores.
Zenmall (ゼンモール)
Zenmall is a branch of the Sakazen chain. It is a very good little shop in Shibuya with lots of very fashionable clothing. One floor is for formal wear and one is for regular clothes. I always go here first when I am out to renew my wardrobe! They also have a few quite big shoes!

Sakazen Shinjuku (サカゼン)
The other good store in Tokyo is Sakazen in Shinjuku. It is conveniently located on the other side of Kutsu no Hikari (see below), so you might want to visit both of them if you are in that area of Shinjuku!

Kutsu no Hikari (靴のヒカリ)
In my opinion, this is the best shoes store in Tokyo. You can easily find great brand name sports shoes for only 5000 yen (US $ 50)! And there are plenty of formal shoes too. The staff are extremely helpful if you need services, but you can go around and try as many shoes as you want without being disturbed.

Here you can find information on the shop in Gotanda - the one in
Shinjuku (which is the best IMO) is not listed. I think they are sort of
competing, beacuse when I asked in Gotanda he wouldn't tell me the
address nor give me the business card for the Shinjuku shiten! Anyway,

To find this place: Go to Shinjuku station and take the East exit. Walk straight ahead towards Kabukichou and turn right at the second big street. It has the Epson building at the end closest to you. Walk in the left side of the street for about 10 minutes, and you come to the little shoes store. Look for the sign hanging over the street as this shop can be quite hard to spot otherwise.
On the other side of the street is the flashy Sakazen (see above), that has an arc of lightbulbs and is very easy to spot!

Another shoes store in Shinjuku. Not so good if you are looking for
sports shoes.
