Introduction to Japanese for beginners

Welcome to my small Japanese lessons!

It was originally written for my penpal Aerith, but I decided to put it on-line, if anyone else would be interested in seeing it. It is not very structurally built. I am writing it in the order it comes to my mind. I am trying to teach the things in a way that would quickly make you able to write simple sentences, without necessarily knowing all aspects of Japanese grammar. Thus I typically list some usages of a thing, but not all, because some of the usages are rare or of lesser significance at the current level.

Have fun, and please comment on it if you have any suggestions or corrections. Japanese is not my mother tongue. I am not even very good at speaking Japanese, but I am studying it for fun, and would like to share this "crazy" interest with everybody else who wants to learn.
